2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA and delivered via its worldwide content delivery network (CDN). Every visit to the website is therefore processed on Netlify servers, which may also be located outside the EU. Transfer to the USA is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Netlify is certified, and on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Each time our website is accessed, Netlify automatically collects the following technical information in server log files: IP address of the requesting device, date and time of access, URL accessed, data volume transferred, HTTP status code, browser and operating system used, and the referrer URL where applicable.

These data are technically necessary to deliver the website and are used to detect and defend against attacks. No merging with other data sources takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable provision of the website). We do not analyse or separately store the log files ourselves; their retention period is determined by Netlify.

3. Contact form

When you use our contact or used-machine form, we process the data you enter (name, company, email address, phone number if given, subject or model sought, and your message) in order to handle your enquiry. The form data is transmitted and temporarily stored via the form service of our hosting provider Netlify, Inc. (address see Section 2) before being delivered to us by email. Access to enquiries is limited to the employees responsible for handling them and the technical service provider we have commissioned to maintain the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (responding to your enquiry). Transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses; Netlify is listed under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been conclusively handled and no statutory retention obligations apply.

3a. Application form

You can submit an open application via our application form ("Careers" page). In doing so, we process the data you provide (name, email address, phone number if given, preferred area of work, your brief introduction and, where uploaded, your CV as a PDF) exclusively for the purpose of conducting the application procedure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures as part of the application procedure). The form data, including uploaded files, is transmitted and temporarily stored — as with our other forms — via the form service of our hosting provider Netlify, Inc. (USA); transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and Netlify is listed under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Your application data will be deleted no later than six months after completion of the application procedure, unless you expressly consent to longer retention (talent pool) or statutory retention obligations apply.

3b. Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, content of your enquiry) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or its initiation, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. The data is deleted once your enquiry has been conclusively handled and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Our contact page contains a link to WhatsApp. Simply visiting our website does not transmit any data to WhatsApp. Only if you click the link and write to us via WhatsApp does WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, process your data (including phone number, message content and metadata); a transfer to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA is possible. Use is voluntary; you can always reach us by email or phone instead. Information on data protection at WhatsApp is available at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea.

4. Fonts

All typefaces used on this website are served locally from our own server (self-hosting). When a page is loaded, no connections to Google Fonts or other third parties are made, and no personal data (in particular no IP address) is transmitted to third parties.

5. Cookies and consent management

We use cookies and similar technologies in accordance with § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) and Art. 6 GDPR. The categories we use are explained below:

  • Technically necessary (no consent required): We store your consent decision in your browser's localStorage under the key liba_consent_v1. This entry contains only your accept/decline decision and is never transmitted to third parties.
  • Statistics / analytics (with consent only, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Google Analytics 4 is only loaded after your consent and then sets the following cookies: _ga (retention: 2 years) and _ga_<ID> (2 years). These cookies distinguish visitors and sessions for reach measurement.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking "Privacy settings" in the site footer; this also deletes the Google Analytics cookies. Alternatively, you can clear the site data in your browser. Declining cookies does not affect your ability to use this website.

6. Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. GA4 is only activated after your explicit consent: before you consent, no Google script is loaded and no connection to Google is established.

Using Consent Mode v2, GA4 collects the following data: pages visited, time on site, approximate geographic origin, device type, and traffic source (e.g. search engine, direct visit). Your IP address is transmitted to Google; according to Google, GA4 uses it only to derive the approximate location and does not log or store it. Data are transferred to servers of Google LLC (USA); Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 5). Further information is available in Google's Privacy Policy and at Google's information on data protection in Google Analytics.

7. Data security

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses TLS/SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix and the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.

8. Your rights

As a data subject you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request information about the data we process.
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request the correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You may request the deletion of your data, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You may request that processing of your data be restricted.
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You may request that your data be provided in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection (Art. 21 GDPR): You may object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): Any consent given (e.g. for Google Analytics) may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, please contact: info@lingener-baumaschinen.de
